Local stars take over New York

A few of our fave celebs are currently in New York for their philanthropic work as Global Citizen advocates. They are all doing their bit to better the lives of many in the world and we couldn’t be prouder.

Nandi Madida and Pearl Thusi spoke at the Leveling The Law For Women And Girls event which aims to help change the unjust laws that discriminate against girls and women by 2030. KNaomi spent time with children from underprivileged communities who are part of the Curtis Scholarship, an annual leadership development program to support youth ages 16-20 years-old. Bonang and Nomzamo hosted panel discussions that focused on the importance of educating girl children and bettering the lives of refugees.

They will also be attending the Global Citizen Festival New York 2018 taking place this weekend.

Here’s a look at who’s in the big apple.

Last night I had the opportunity to have dinner with a few children from the Curtis Scholarship which is an annual leadership development program to support youth ages 16-20 from underserved communities. It was so great listening to their stories and seeing how the scholarship has helped improve their lives. Such great young kids with a bright future.
